9mm Box of 40rnds RARE Czech/German P08 ME bullet.These are being sold in their original boxes 5 stripper clips of 8rnds each to a box to make 40rnds. Each brown box has the original stripper clips, brass case, and full Metal jacket, with a iron core not lead. This ammo is Hot ammo and should only be used in sub-guns or Military firearms that chamber 9mm luger rounds.All markings match the box, the headstamp, and the stripper clip, these particular bullets have the solid iron core as the other boxes we have are white, and they have the same core material but are mushroom shaped not slug shaped. HERE IS SOME INFO ON THESE AS A AMMUNITION EXPERT HAS PASSED ON TO US.THANK YOU. These are the version of the German P08 mE bullet. mE means with iron core. In 1937 the Germans began worrying about their supply of lead and were trying to minimize the amount of lead they were using in bullets so they developed a range of ammunition with iron cores in place of lead. In the 9mm (P08) bullet resulted in the mE bullet with the mushroom core. During WWII the P08mE cartridges were made in huge numbers in the S&B factory in the Czech Republic and in the PS factory in Slovakia. At the end of the war, both factories continued making 9mmP ammunition, first using the German steel cases with the German headstamps. When both began making their own ammo (brass case mostly with various symbols on the headstamp) they continued using the German mushroom iron core. Eventually they simplified it by making an iron slug which was slightly smaller-because they were no longer trying to conserve lead but still looking for the higher velocity. These rounds are about 1400fps instead of the 1000-1100 fps of the normal 125gr lead core load. This ammo was intended for machine pistols, and are post WW2 era from 1950 as the markings all match that date. ***** Please read before purchasing this ammunition is being sold as a collectors piece this is loaded ammo and if fired should only be used in sub-guns if you reload these bullets they are great for pull downs, and can be loaded in your favorite 9mm loads.
